EXPECTATIONS FOR GRIZZLY BASKETBALL PLAYERS
Players are expected to represent the “Grizzly Way” on and off the court. Each team member is representing the entire basketball program, therefore, creating problems in school, breaking team rules, repeated grade issues and any negative social media posts will result in dismissal.
All practice sessions and team building activities are important and mandatory. Unexcused absences could lead to game suspension or team dismissal. If there are extenuating circumstances please contact your player's coach in advance. If a player is unable to practice due to injury or illness they are still expected to attend but will not participate.
Players are also expected to leave the building when practice is over. Players will be asked to leave the building by 6:00 pm on “Early” days and 7:45 pm on “Late” days. Please arrange transportation accordingly. Coaches will wait for 30 minutes after practice and games. Players are expected to know and follow all rules in the athletic handbook; the handbook will be used as a guide for consequences but the coaching staff will have the final say. The coaching staff reserves the right to dismiss players when deemed appropriate.
As coaches, we will demand maximum effort at all times during practices and games. Players who loaf in practice or display negative attitudes will be asked to leave and this will be considered an unexcused absence. Negative outbursts towards coaches, other players or game officials will not be tolerated.
Parents, please don't coach your daughter or be critical of her teammates during games will also ask you respect the 24-hour rule.
Each team member is required to ride the bus to and from the away game. If special circumstances exist please contact your daughters coach before game day.
The coaches may be required to communicate with your daughter through the Remind App.
