Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) is a four-year college preparatory program. Students learn not only academic skills, but also receive support in applying to colleges, taking entrance exams, and understanding and applying for financial aid. NJROTC is a leadership and citizenship development education program, and it is not limited to just students who are interested in military careers. Any student interested in developing strong leadership, communication, and self-discipline are encouraged to apply. PLTW is a national program, a collaboration among industries, colleges and universities, and public schools. The goal is to encourage students to continue on in science and engineering fields. Widefield School District offers three PLTW pathways: Biomedical Science, Computer Science, and Engineering Computer Assisted Drafting.
